Not Me Monday: Parties and Laundry

We have not been sick for nearly two weeks – not us!  We are a pretty healthy family and take good care of ourselves.  We most definitely have not missed church – the entire family – for two weeks in a row!

On Saturday, when getting ready for our July 4th “party” (as much of a party as you can have with no soda or ice cream because everyone is sick) – I was explaining to my 6 year old that we needed to pick up the house – we’re having a party for Independence Day!  She did not say, without missing a beat – “A party?  Well, where are the Appendix Day cards?”

I have also not been simply moving an ever-growing pile of clean laundry from my bed, to a chair, back to the bed, to the study couch, etc., for about 5 days.  Not me! I always fold our laundry right away, so my husband never has to dig in a pile of clothing for clean socks and t-shirts – of course he also never has to wonder where the pile might be on any given day, and has definitely not had to walk all the way to the dryer at 4:30am…
